Let's get this thing started!

 Where do we go and what do we do? I go to work in an office… Sometimes I wonder how people have so much time for extracurricular activities, hobbies, and such. I have many things that I’m interested in and I have a lot of what I call “toys” to play with, but I just can’t seem to find the time. I love a good creative process. Art, crafts, yea arts and crafts. I have a craft room, which, I guess if I were more sophisticated, I would call it my studio. But, alas, I’m not sophisticated, so I just refer to it as my craft room. 

I started out way back when, pretty much as early as I can remember, I loved crafty things. I made weird little things and took them to school. I sold my crafts anywhere from 10, 20, 25 cents each… just enough to get something from the store, candy, gum, whatever. Yea, back then, candy was cheap… tootsie rolls, Bazooka bubble gum, tootsie pops. Cheap and awesome candy! Anyhoo…. I was always scouring garage sales for trinkets that could be crafted with and boy oh boy was it a great day when we took our semi annual trip to Chicago and I got to go to a craft store called Blackstone’s where I could buy Aleene’s Tacky Glue! What a day that was!! Now I can hop on Amazon, EBay, or Etsy and find just about anything under the sun to craft with! I’d like to take you on a journey with me to get my “craft room” up and humming! 

I’ve been working on this room a bit more actively for the last 24 months or so. Rearranging, cleaning, purging. I have designated areas for certain crafts. I'll be the first to admit, I have a hard time purging and not saving EVERYTHING that "might" someday come in handy ;) Thus, I have A LOT of crafty items, and just plain STUFF! I've started to gather items that I feel I will never use again, literally haven't touched these items for years since we moved into this house... if someone else can get some use out of it, more power to them and go CREATE! Anyhoo, that is a work in progress and something that I will probably be working on for the next 10 years until I retire, and then I'll probably be working on this project until I leave this rock called earth 😆

Soooo, anyway, I'll try to keep up with posting. They might be short blips of something weird that happened in my day or just something I found amusing. Later Gators!

Pigeon or statue, make a choice! 

Gee, not very good at keeping this current am I?? There have been a lot of things that have happened since I last wrote... Daughters first big dance, death of a grandparent, possibility of a new job on the horizon, another home based business starting up, and the end of another of my "businesses"... Seems like there is a lot of turmoil there, but the biggest thing that is messing me up is the messy house :) so I guess that is a good thing! Spring seems to be trying to make an appearance, snow is melting and birds are singing. That is definitely a positive thing. The more I live my life, the more I realize that I have some really good friends. Like they say, some come and some go, but only a rare few will always be around for you in the end, treasure those that you have!

New year, new ideas... there needs to me a newer version of me. everybody lays out their new years resolutions at this time of year, but how many people really keep those resolutions??? I know I've rarely kept mine, as most of them have been that I need to eat healthier and/or lose some weight, I'd bet that is one of the most used resolutions ever!!! This year, I think I am going to work harder at being organized! Um, yea, right ;) I said "work harder" at it, I didn't say I was going to do it! But anyway, I'll give it a try...

The kids are going back to school on Monday and I, too, go back to "work" at the high school to get my photographing done of the first 100 years of class composites... This being one of the biggest jobs of my "photography career" I need it to be finished to the T!! I can't wait to get it done so that I can buy new camera "toys" with the proceeds!

With the Christmas season over, things will get back to "normal" or whatever you may call it, so onward and upward to the next goal!

Not a lot rolls around in this head. Nothing much that I feel anybody would be interested in hearing anyway... if I talk too much, my daughter tells me that I'm just not cool so I just keep doing it to annoy her. That's a lot of fun :)

K, so this blog is basically going to be about me, my family, and my life in general... I've decided that I could probably write about just about anything because I will be the only one interested in reading it! Please keep in mind, I'm blond... therefore I might babble... sorry if anyone takes offense to that but I have to make a joke about my hair color before somebody else does!
